Why do I need variable speed?
Energy savings: using variable speed increases your SEER rating, which means more savings on your utility bills.
Even temperatures: using variable speed fan motors keeps the air moving and mixing throughout your home, this results in more consistent temperatures room to room while using less energy than a standard fan coil.
Humidity control: the ideal humidity level in your home should be around 40 to 60 percent, if the humidity level falls below or rises above these ranges it creates an ideal atmosphere for growth of mold, mildew, bacteria and viruses. With variable speed, it can remove up to 30% more moisture than a standard system, and it allows the system to dehumidify your home, even when it’s at the proper temperature.
Quieter operation: Variable speed operates on low speed 80% of the time, reducing the air noise for a quieter system.
Total control: with carrier’s thermidastat, you can set the humidity at your comfort level, program your thermostat to your specifications, even monitor what the outside temperature is, giving you total control of your indoor environment |
